The neighborhood
Located south-west of the city centre, this area is well known for the Sants railway station which is the city’s most important transport hub and Plaza Espanya Montjuic hill which houses the Olympic Stadium.
The lifestyle
On summer evenings you can enjoy the spectacular lights and dancing fountains displays, while enjoying a drink or snack at any of the many outdoor cafés. Montjuic also has many Olympic sports facilities if your a sports fanatic and often the Olympic Staduim is used for concerts where famous music artists perform. The Sants Estacio has trains to all parts of Spain and a direct link to the airport, and the surrounding plazas have lots of small tapas bars and restuarants. Don’t forget Poblesec on the other side of Montjuic which is one one of Barcelona’s up-and-coming areas, with a lively and local feel.
